Pink - The meaning behind the Colour

Something about pink makes you smile, wraps you in love when you see it.

Pink feels like a safe and comfortable place. It can be uplifting, pastel pink colour hues can be delicate, dreamy or it can be bold, bright, and energetic like Pantone suggests. As fashion icon Valentino’s new Pink PP Collection Fall/Winter 2022-23, its made up of a very hot vibrant bright pink. The other part of the collection is black which is a great compliment to pink, the two colours together just pop. I have been admiring some pink raised patterns in stores lately, and found these delicate, pink paper daisy’s in Mount Annan Botanical Gardens.

I have been working on some pinkish prints this month, with contrast and shades, as part of a Sketchbook Revival Annual Challenge that I am taking part in this year for the second year running now. I think I am now addicted to printing with paints. OMG, so many opportunity's for pattern design in it, building collections in this way with this creative technique. Enjoy the PINKS in your life.
